B.A. Paris’ debut psychological thriller, BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, was one of my most-recommended crime books last summer, and I was beyond excited to get my hands on a copy of her next thriller, THE BREAKDOWN. While THE BREAKDOWN doesn’t deliver quite the same addictive, spine-tingling suspense as did BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, I still found myself hooked on this wholly entertaining story. This book is the epitome of a “beach read” if ever there was one.

Samuel Bjork’s U.S. debut I’M TRAVELING ALONE is one of my favorite books, and I’ve been eagerly anticipating Book 2 in the series, THE OWL ALWAYS HUNTS AT NIGHT, for ages now. While this book didn’t fully live up to its predecessor for me, I still thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend it for fans of I’M TRAVELING ALONE who want to spend more time in Mia Kruger’s world.
