This week, CBTB is going to be dedicated to the Dark Iceland series by Ragnar Jónasson! In honor of the fantastic news that this gripping Icelandic crime series has been optioned for TV in the UK, I'm declaring this week to be all about Dark Iceland. I've been itching to dive into this series for a while now, and what better time than the present? I'll be reading both SNOWBLIND and NIGHTBLIND this week, and sharing my thoughts via social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Goodreads) and right here on my blog!
So what extras can you expect out of CBTB x Dark Iceland? I want some of it to be a surprise, but I'll just hint that there will be behind-the-scenes glimpses into the publisher's process of acquiring the book, and into the author's writing! Not to mention, a chance to win copies of the Dark Iceland series for yourself! Stay tuned as CBTB delves into Ragnar Jónasson's world of darkness, intrigue, and crime.

Praise for the Dark Iceland series:
'Seductive... an old-fashioned murder mystery with a strong central character and the fascinating background of a small Icelandic town cut off by snow. Ragnar does claustrophobia beautifully' - Ann Cleeves
'A modern Icelandic take on an Agatha Christie-style mystery, as twisty as any slalom...' - Ian Rankin
'Snowblind is a brilliantly crafted crime story that gradually unravels old secrets in a small Icelandic town... an excellent debut from a talented Icelandic author. I can't wait to read more' - Sarah J. Ward
'Snowblind brings you the chill of a snowbound Icelandic fishing village cut off from the outside world, and the warmth of a really well-crafted and translated murder mystery' - Michael Ridpath
'Ragnar Jonasson is simply brilliant at planting a hook and using the magic of a dark Icelandic winter to reel in the story. Snowblind screams isolation and darkness in an exploration of the basic Icelandic nature with all its attendant contrasts and extremes, amid a plot filled with twists, turns, and one surprise after another.' - Jeffrey Siger
