Krimfestivalen 2017
MARCH 9 - 11, 2017 // Oslo, Norway
I absolutely love Norway, and was thrilled to have the chance to visit Oslo for Krimfestivalen 2017! This annual crime festival brings together authors from Norway and around the world for 3 days of crime fiction panels, events, and parties. I had an absolute blast being reunited with friends from Iceland Noir (here's looking at you, Yrsa Sigurdardottir and Thomas Enger!), and meeting authors whose books I've loved (Peter Swanson and Jorn Lier Horst). I also had the opportunity to learn about many authors whose books are new to me, and which I now can't wait to read! Last but not least, I was thrilled to have a chance to visit the major landmarks from my favorite crime fiction series - Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole books.
KRIMFESTIVALEN 2017 COVERAGE:
Exploring Oslo in Harry Hole's Footsteps -- I took a walking tour to explore the most important locations in Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole series. Nesbo is my most favorite crime fiction author, and I loved immersing myself in the real-life locations from his books!
Krimfestivalen Author Interview: Thomas Enger -- an interview with one of my favorite crime authors, Thomas Enger... but with a plot twist! This time, Thomas and I spoke about his musical background, after he played piano at a "crime concert" at the festival.
Krimfestivalen 2017 Journal -- a day-by-day recap of my time in Oslo, including lots of photos and links to further reading.
